PRS Represents at Packapalooza

Kendall Hubbard, Student Services Associate, poses trivia questions to future PRS majors

For the first time ever, the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies participated in Packapalooza™, NC State’s signature all-day block party and street festival. The event, which drew over 80,000 people, capped off Wolfpack Welcome Week on Saturday, Aug. 24, 2024.

The department had a table in “CHASSville”, located on Hillsborough Street in front of Winston Hall, where students and other participants collected brochures on our programs, answered trivia questions about our disciplines, and received departmentally-branded koozies.

The department’s table was staffed by Kendall Hubbard, Student Services Associate, and Kathryn Kaufman Zellmer, Business Services Coordinator, along with faculty members Karey Harwood, Nevin Johnson, and Levi McLaughlin. Joe Krylow, faculty adviser to the philosophy club, was also present with a few club members.

The department’s participation in this event was made possible in part by the generous donations of friends, faculty, and alumni to our enhancement fund.
