PRS Celebrates December Graduates

Fall 2024 graduates

The Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies held its 2024 fall graduation ceremony on December 13. Department head Stephen Puryear opened the ceremony, welcoming the graduates and their family and friends. Deanna Dannels, dean of the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, delivered some remarks by video and Bill Adler, Distinguished University Professor of Religious Studies, delivered the commencement address.

Two-thirds of the graduates earned honors.

The graduates were:

  • Eman Barakat, B.A. in Religious Studies, minor in Statistics
  • Zachary Eaker, B.A. in Religious Studies
  • Andrew Paul, B.S. in Philosophy, B.S. in Plant Biology, minor in Computer Programming, Recipient of the Bryan Prize in Philosophy
  • Justin Ryan Pfeifer, B.A. in Philosophy (Philosophy of Law concentration), B.A. in Political Science (Law and Justice concentration), minor in Logic and Methodology
  • William Joseph Vuncannon, B.A. in Religious Studies, B.A. in Political Science, minor in Environmental Science

The department congratulates all these graduates and wishes them well in their future endeavors!
